So, I was having this Idea of creating my own blog to spill my mind every once in a while on it… What bothers me the most is not the situation in Lebanon and what is happening in Lebanon, but the reactions that follows. My reaction was simple, quietly immigrate to Canada, I am not asking anybody to react the same way I did. My reaction came to efficiently improve my own life since it was nearly impossible to improve the country. It is hard to aim improvement on the problem, when the problem is in fact the people who react. But hey it’s the beginning of the year and I don’t have a resolution yet, so what the heck! let my resolution be to start this crappy blog already and start fanatically attacking those pretensions bloggers who have been on my nerves for a while now, and not to forget of course the media. I am not a great writer, but I believe that.. okay sorry I promised you of porn and instead i was writing gibberish…

And now I know that there is Lebanese born and bred porn star who is ranked nb1 on pornhub. Yea yea we all like porn nobody is lying, well at least the guys do. But that’s not a problem. The problem is the article itself, Gino is promoting for porn here! the guy got excited! So much excited that a 5 min session of hitting the pole wasn’t enough for him, he was so proud, happy and excited that he had to blog about it! that’s the ultimate climax! It’s the same as if he clicked that “share” button on the porn video, you know that share button that we all make fun off? well the guy actually promoted a porn actress!
Ouf! That was too much for me to handle… Okay okay, i’m not gonna lie I did my search as everybody did… And I was curious about the tweeter profile… Holy crap! Gino is there too! The guy is sucking up her ass! I have no idea what kind of fantasy this guy is thinking he can bring into reality! It’s a good thing to have a porn star as an acquaintance…
So now I know what’s about this article, It’s not about being free to do whatever with their body, nor about the da3ech-mentality that is slowly taking over… All that is bullshit! It is simply for the writer to touch base with a porn star! So I have nothing to say more or to argue, except one question… I wonder how Gino will feel if his Sister, Mother or cousin is a porn star, or perhaps he would prefer to marry one and let her raise his kids, I don’t need an answer, it will be for him to think about it…
All of this made me think about something… I have seen naked women more than all of my ancestors combined! And actually I prefer the wisdom, simplicity and tranquility of my grandfather over my own mind and personality… I wonder maybe it would have done us good not to have easy access and exposure to porn!
We all want to bang a porn star… But we all know we are going to have a bad time keeping porn away from our kids for the longest time possible.
Update: Apparently “A seperate state of mind” joined the campaign bashing Nemer Abou Nassar on their way… First of all, Nemer has the right to express himself the way he wants, he is the most person away from hypocricy I know. Man that argument of “what if it was your mother or sister?” or “would you marry her?” are so backwards and sexist. Well of course I wouldn’t want my sister to be a sex worker of any kind, but it’s not my place to say what she can or can’t do. Furthermore, that implies that a woman is validated and given owl value purely through her ability to marry a man.
If a woman wants to take her clothes off and eat dick for money then what’s the big deal? People use their bodies for labor in many occupations. Think of construction workers or bodyguards. All of a sudden cause a vagina’s involved, men (especially Arab men) feel that their potential dominion over the women in their orbit is jeopardized and react righteous indignation (but only after watching her videos and rubbing one out of course). Conservative women feel threatened by a more liberal woman because they view her actions as reducing their sexual negotiating power as a group (since men now have an easier option available).
If there was a famous Lebanese dude with a 12 inch dick doing porn fucking white chicks, he’d be hailed as a national hero.
Medieval thinking I’d still rife in Lebanon. No one gives a shit that we have an illegitimate unelected parliament sitting and a vacant presidency or that our food supplies are literally contaminated by bird and rat feces. But a consenting adult takes her top off and is legally remunerated for her work, and all of a sudden we feel shame and indignation.
Lebanon, as a state and people, is the source of shame for Lebs.

I think you should double read and try to understand. I dont find it enjoyable explaining my point over and over again. My entire post is not against pornstars, my opinions about pornstars in general is not enclosed in anyway. My opinion is about the way this issue was handled by some bloggers.
In your replie you are answering your own question. If you dont want any of your relative to be anything of the things you named, why would you want to promote for someone who is!

The point is supporting personal freedom of choice, especially for women. I’m not supporting “someone else’s mother or sister” to become a pornstar. Again you fall into your sexist rhetoric that a woman is defined by her relationship – though the danger is that you don’t seem to recognize the sexism in that sort of argument and speech. I am supporting a person’s freedom to do whatever they want with their body and to get paid (so long as they aren’t hurting anyone else).
I’m also touching on the fact that this sort of conservative religious moral structure is the reason Lebanon is a shitty country and Lebanese society so repressed and impotent.

You have all the right to prefer whatever the hell you want. What the other blog is demanding is for you and the rest of the “conservative” people in our respectable society to understand just that and let others prefer – and therefore live – whatever lives they choose for themselves, without being judged or discriminated against. That is all we demand. And as a progressive tolerant educated member of our society who seems to care enough for the welfare of his home country (as opposed to getting the hell out of this godforsaken place at the first opportunity), you should be protecting freedoms at all costs, instead of siding with the oppressive intolerant hypocrits who consciously and actively work toward the dumbing down of our youth by promoting their backward conservative views in order to push their sectarian and religious agendas if only to secure their positions in power.
And one last thing. You run away to Canada where pornography is not only accepted but also considered to be a legal business. You look down on us Lebanese who remain in Lebanon (as apparent by your introductory boasts) for being a backward society that fails to evolve. Then you bash us for being tolerant towards people who make choices that do not align with your particular views?
Tolerance towards other people’s lifestyles (religion, sect, sexual orientation, promiscuity or fidelity, political beliefs) does not imply liking or agreeing with it. That would be called approval. Tolerance only calls for marginal acceptance. Just accept that others do not necessarily have to subacribe to your own moral compass. Tolerance. All we ask.

No. You keep assuming things. The truth is, I couldn’t care less if my sister or mother chose to appear in a porno. As I said, their choice, their life.
I personally wouldn’t want my daughter to end up whoring for money on the premise that I find this career path to be dangerous and destructive, so I try to educate her and adviae her against such a lifestyle; but if I can’t afford for her a decent life otherwise I have only myself to blame. And as soon as she hits 18, I have absolutely no authority over her.
More interestingly, if my sister/mother/daughter/whatever_female_figure chose to go down this career path against my advise, I would stand by them and support them. If they choose to be porn stars they might as well be the world’s best porn stars. Their excellence and success is by far more important than my own convictions.
That aside, I suggest you sign your posts with a name; at least a nickname, so that people could identify with you in the discussion or otherwise.
Good to see a new Lebanese blogger stepping up, even though I totally disagree with you on this one. Hopefully your next posts will be less on the conservative camp. If you really want to make a differnce, start by helping people out of their tribal herd-mentality. Cheers
